animals out of paper
by rajiv joseph
directed by gerry kirschbaum
Animals... is an uncommon love story that explores the intertwining lives of three very different New Yorkers.
What unfolds is a fractured tragicomedy about how in life, as in origami, we always leave a lasting mark.

Cast
(in order of appearance)
Leticia Diaz (Ilana)
Driven by a deep desire to experience "every little thing", Leticia derives great pleasure from her many adventures on and off the boards. She can be found in public pillow fights, joining the bingo rebellion, or changing the world one free hug at a time. When she is on script, Leticia is certain to find herself in the company of brilliant actors and directors in deeply satisfying roles. From Shakespeare to Durang to Bernstein, this long time thespian's breadth of experience only fuels her ache for more.
Paul Weissman (Andy)
Based in New York, Paul Weissman has performed Shakespeare, O’Neill, original comedies and dramas, bawdy musicals, sketch shows, costume dramas, etc. He has toured across the country acting poetry for children.
On film he has portrayed, among other things, a twenty one year old virgin (at age 30), a theoretical physicist, a well intentioned, though well lubricated father, a zombie hunter (using a trusty Nerf gun), and the reincarnation of King Arthur. He has two plays he has written produced as well as short one acts. He is married to a wonderful singer and father to the cutest lil ole thing to walk the earth.
